School Site Council  |  click here for more informationA School Site Council (SSC) is a group of stakeholders within a school, composed of teachers, parents, school staff, and the principal. Its main role is to help shape, review, and monitor the school’s academic programs and overall improvement plan. The SSC plays a significant role in ensuring that school resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of all students, especially with regard to budget decisions and program priorities.

Each year, the school community collaboratively develops a plan to increase student learning and wellbeing. The SPSA is a living document that is continually updated to reflect students’ needs.  The School Site Council approves the site’s SPSA, which is then taken the the School Board for final approval.

Village View's SPSA has 4 areas:

  3. Family Engagement
  4. Culture and Climate

A School Accountability Report Card (SARC) is a yearly report that provides information about California's public schools.

Purpose
The SARC's purpose is to provide information to parents and the community about each school's performance. 

What's included?  The SARC includes information about: 

  • Demographics 
  • School safety 
  • Academic achievement 
  • Class sizes 
  • Teacher and staff information 
  • Curriculum and instruction 
  • Postsecondary preparation 
  • Fiscal and expenditure data
